Mike Shade is one of my favorite Touquere Press authors. I will rec two of my fav novels.
the first is The Stallion and the Rabbit-
Alex is in the Sahara to cover a great race, hoping the story will make him as a writer. Desert Cheifton Alfahl needs an Englishman to teach the language, and he's not used to anyone telling him no. So he takes Alex like he has taken everything else in his life, sweeping him off into the desert to be his own personal tutor and storyteller.
This may sound cliche but the way Alfahl and Alex comes together is beautiful. An exotic tale set in the desert and enough romance for a hot and steamy read.
The second
Trouble
Wil is the new sherriff's deputy in town, a job he likes, especially when he meets Max on a routine call. He thinks Max is unbelievably sexy and wants to get to know him better. A lot better.
Max is pretty much trouble with a capital T. He has trouble keeping jobs, gets into fights in bars, and does all sorts of other things a law abiding man might not approve of. He can hardly believe his luck when he and Wil hook up, sure he'll screw up their relationship like he does everthing else. Can these two survive all the trouble that finds them and make a life together?
I just reread this book. I love Max. These are the two most unlikely men to be in a relationship, but they work. And its hot. And sexy. And I think I'll read it again. Now.

Today I am recing in the Fast and the Furious fandom.
First and formost is
Unfinished Business by Maygra. It answers the question of what happens after the movie, and it answers it well.It is long and hot.
740k, (84,000 words) NC18 It has a few more chapters, some written with Bone and this arc is my favorite FaF fic.
The second is Ciudad de Estrellas by Gwyneth Rhys.
Authors summary : Dom is forced to ask Brian for help when the consequences of his crimes come back to haunt him. A novel about love, loss, and redemption.
Excellent writing, characterization and fantastic storyline.
The last is something a little different. Its a Crossover with "The Chronicles of Riddick".
The Fast and the Furyan, also by Maygra
Brian goes hunting for Riddick, leading them to discover their destiny.
